A risograph printing workshop that worked with defending peatlands through slogan aesthetics!

The workshop was part of “‘Down in the Bog: Hibernation’” by Karolin Tampere, an exhibition and a place for learning and sharing from peatlands around the world, arguing for the need of increased attention and care.

Through the workshop a selection of flyers, logos and images were gathered into one publication. Each participant got a copy to take home- and the remaining were offered to environmental organizations working with peatlands for use in their communication work.

Autumn Focus: Open Out

Our Autumn Focus workshop was in connection with the Open Out Festival, an an annual one-week contemporary art festival putting forward queer artists and performers aiming to make the public art scene in Tromsø more diverse, accessible and open. Their aim is to showcase high quality contemporary art within a broad queer perspective - and to put forward hidden and marginalized voices. They investigate social, political and personal realities and dreams and we believe that art has a strong power to formulate and imagine these. The 2023 theme was “Currents” and it was dedicated to environmental sustainability.

For Currents we hosted a two day riso workshop that culminated in a collaborative 4 colour zine. The interest was extraordinary and we had roughly 40 participants, with a public launch of the zine at the end of the two days.
